After the Broncos’ thrilling win against the Eagles on Sunday, there was some bewilderment in the locker room as smoke filled the space.
Head coach Sean Payton delivered a passionate speech to the team, and CBS caught the moment on camera, revealing just how smoky things were inside.
Albert Breer from Sports Illustrated highlighted the social media buzz surrounding it, sparking plenty of interest among fans.
“I’ve put this away,” he mentioned on social media, adding that the smoke was all thanks to a victory celebration machine in Denver.
While it didn’t quite live up to the excitement fans might have envisioned, it at least reassured everyone that there was nothing wrong with Lincoln Financial Field.
In his post-game address, Payton expressed immense pride in his players’ performance. “I want to say something, man,” he started. “We came here to win the game, and I can’t tell you—on behalf of the coaches, ownership, and everyone—how proud I am of how you played today.”
He emphasized the effort required to beat a team like the Eagles and recognized that they truly delivered.
Now, with their record at 3-2, the Broncos are riding a two-game winning streak for the first time this season—marking a significant turnaround after facing the defending Super Bowl champions earlier this year.
Looking ahead, they have a good chance to build on this momentum against upcoming games against the Jets and Giants. Perhaps they’ll get to enjoy the smoke machine a little more often.
