Want to bet on Taylor Swift’s Super Bowl props but are disappointed when nothing shows up?
Sorry Swifties, please know you’re not alone.
Thanks to state-by-state regulations, Americans will no longer be able to legally bet on how many times they’ll see Swift on CBS screens during the 2024 Super Bowl.
This also applies to any lesser-known prop bets you might want to place.
“A general rule of thumb for making prop bets is that they should be driven by the action on the field and the outcome as shown in the box score,” said Tristan Davis, senior trader at BetMGM Sportsbook. he told the Post.
“This makes it difficult to offer a prop bet as Taylor Swift will not be in the match.”
So unless Swift plans to lace up his cleats and wear shoulder pads, he’ll be more of a bystander than a prop with a shot at making it to the 2024 Super Bowl.
This rule of thumb from BetMGM’s senior traders also includes national anthems that cannot be legally bet on in each state.
Currently, FanDuel, BetMGM, Bet365 and others are expected to announce odds on Swift, but these props you’ll see on social media and in the post can only be bet on in Ontario, Canada, which has far fewer regulations for sports betting.
However, there are some gray areas when it comes to Gatorade colors for the U.S. Super Bowl.
Obviously, the Gatorade colors aren’t mentioned in the box score at all.
However, it is still legally wagered in Washington DC, Illinois, Louisiana, New Jersey, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
As with other regulated activities, states determine the legality of certain activities and further impose “fundamental” forms of restrictions.

Gatorade colors are highly controversial when it comes to betting and are not allowed in most states.
The logic is unclear, but some states seem to be giving some kind of exemption to this quirky tradition.
When it comes to Swift, many sportsbooks have started promoting Swift-themed props, but most are just betting on Travis Kelce and other bad puns related in some way to the pop star.
Ready to start betting on the 2024 Super Bowl?
For example, DraftKings Sportsbook offers “For the Swifties” props named after her song titles, including “Fearless,” “Anti-Hero,” and “Gold Rush.”
This isn’t likely to change anytime soon, so Swift Super Bowl fans will have to accept that.
