Wife of Iranian undocumented immigrant reportedly threatened to shoot ICE agents during husband's arrest попытка

An Iranian woman, Linet Vartanians, is accused of threatening an ICE agent during a raid at her home in Arizona, where her husband, Melzad Asadi Eidivand, who has been ordered deported for over a decade, resides.

The 37-year-old allegedly brandished a firearm and warned the agent that she would shoot anyone trying to enter their residence in Tempe. Reports indicate she repeated her threat outside the house as well.

When authorities arrived, Vartanians reportedly refused to open the door and instructed local police to return with a warrant.

Interestingly, during a call with police, Eidivand mentioned there were three guns in the house. The following day, ICE executed a search warrant, discovering an additional firearm on the kitchen counter and another by the nightstand.

Both Vartanians were arrested the same day. This case highlights the increased focus by the federal government on deporting Iranian nationals, particularly in light of security concerns related to Iran.

Recent reports indicate that a significant number of Iranian immigrants, including those suspected of terrorism, have been apprehended as part of heightened enforcement actions.
