The explosive video was captured the moment a Tennessee security guard dropped his attack rifle on a gunman firing at a nightclub crowd.
The shootout collapsed in the Chattanooga Dream parking lot just after 2am on January 26th. The gunman ran up to the crowd outside the club and began blowing up his handgun.
A club guard who appears to be wearing body armor calmly began to raise his assault rifle and return the fire, quickly beginning to shoot what appears to be two dozen shots, the clip shows .
The guard paused the shooting for a while, chasing the target and then began firing again before lowering the gun.
Behind him, the clubber could be seen scrawny to cower on the ground and hidden in the footage.
Club owner Jamichiel Smith confirmed that the security guards worked for him and praised his reaction to the shooting, Telling local news 3 What employees did what they needed to protect their customers.
The gunman who caused the shooting was identified as a 24-year-old man. He was arrested after showing up at a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
It remains unclear whether security guards will be able to face charges.
But it was the latest shooting that has happened in a dream in recent months.
The 22-year-old was left injured after a gunshot occurred inside a bar on December 1st, when two customers were caught in the fight.
That shooting left the bar on a five-day alcohol service suspension issued a few days ago. WDEF reported.
Chattanooga has also had something like nightlife shootings in recent years.
In 2023, a man was killed in an attack outside a bar.
And the year before that year in June 2022, three people were killed and 14 injured in an early morning shooting outside another nightclub. Reported by Knox News.
