A burglary suspect escapes from an Alabama prison and eludes cops for five days before ending up in a dramatic chase with cops in Atlanta, where he is captured crouched in a trash can, according to wild video. reports.

According to AL.com, Chapman is believed to have wiped out his vehicle from the Planet Fitness parking lot shortly after escaping from prison.
The Atlanta Department of Aviation tracked the suspect to the Chevron, where he was seen getting into the vehicle in aerial footage shared by the agency.
Officers tried to stop Chapman, but he sped away.
According to the footage, the fugitives abandoned their car at a convenience store and attempted to flee from police on foot.
The dramatic chase included Chapman running through suburban homes before diving into a large blue recycling bin and closing the lid over his head.
When the officer removed the lid, the suspect appeared to jump in surprise before being taken into custody, the officer's body camera video shows.
Atlanta police said a K-9 unit helped authorities recover a handgun that Chapman apparently tried to hide in another trash can.
Details of Chapman's escape from Bessemer City Jail were not immediately clear.
According to AL.com, he was being held in a jail in Jefferson County, Alabama, on charges including first-degree theft at the time of his escape.
According to Atlanta police, he also currently faces charges in Georgia for driving with a suspended license, reckless driving, fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, possession of a firearm or knife while attempting to commit certain felonies, and possession of a firearm or knife while attempting to commit certain felonies. He was also charged with theft with stolen property.
Jail records show Chapman is currently in the Fulton County Jail awaiting extradition to Alabama.
Bessemer authorities did not immediately respond to The Post's request for comment on the incident.
