Wild video shows NYC couple beat the hell out of a thug who ambushed them in broad daylight; he ends up stabbed in the head

Surveillance video captured the moment a thug tried to ambush a couple walking their dog in New York City, but was stabbed in the head when they fought back.

The attacker followed the couple and their dog near 49th Street and Broadway in Queens around 2:45 p.m. Thursday, New York City police said.

The NYPD said the 37-year-old suspect was taken to Elmhurst Hospital for treatment of multiple stab wounds.

The video shows the suspect throwing his coat on the ground and jumping at a man on a scooter who injured his leg.

Rather than surrender, the couple immediately attacked the man, hitting him with their fists. The attacker tried to run away, but he continued to punch and kick the dog while holding on to the dog’s leash. When the woman struck her assailant, the victim was able to put him in a headlock.

Eventually, the couple separated from the suspect but continued to yell at each other, threatening to re-engage. At one point, a severe wound was seen on the assailant’s head.

At that point, a casual bystander intervened and separated the two.

The NYPD said the 37-year-old suspect was taken to Elmhurst Hospital for treatment of multiple stab wounds. He was reported to be in serious but stable condition.

Photos from police investigating the incident show that the incident occurred in front of a taco restaurant.

Sources told the New York Post that police were searching for the couple involved in the fight. No arrests have been made.

It is unclear whether the assailants knew the couple or whether the incident was a random attack.

The violent crime rate in New York City is somewhat low than the national crime rate. Other cities, such as Los Angeles, California, have much higher violent crime rates than New York City.
