A small Wisconsin city is pleading with the White House for help for an influx of about 1,000 immigrants since 2022, with issues ranging from housing to crime affecting the tiny community.

The letter also said there was a “significant wall of trust” between migrants and staff, leading some to submit false documents or mislead staff.

Nevertheless, leaders said they “believe there is great value in the increased diversity this group brings to our community” but that additional resources are needed to do so.
