Natasha Cloud Engages Trump Supporters on Social Media

Natasha Cloud, a player for the New York Liberty, has recently stirred up some conversation on social media. She shared a post that humorously hinted at living among Trump supporters, stating, “My third day living at home in Trumphead.” This followed another post where she remarked, “I’ve made Trumpter angry again. This is now like every week, I’m not y’all.”

These comments surfaced just days after Cloud made headlines for discussing her views on Trump and U.S. immigration. She, a supporter of mayoral candidate Zoran Mamdani, praised him while also commenting on Trump’s warning about sending ICE to the city. “Mamdani, my boy!” she expressed, light-heartedly referring to her support.

Cloud didn’t stop at just supportive commentary; she stated, “If Donnie wants to come here, if ICE wants to come here, that’s fine. But they’ll learn the hard way… New Yorkers don’t mess around.” This remark reflectively alludes to a deeper sense of pride for her city.

She also touched upon her beliefs, labeling herself a supporter of socialism and claiming that the opposition to Trump’s administration was significant. “I don’t think our president is reckless,” she said, but also added that it’s thrilling to witness societal change—something she feels is necessary. “We’re dismantling the system,” she asserted, reinforcing her commitment to protect Mamdani’s vision for the city.

Cloud notably expressed strong views about social equity, stating, “Socialism means fairness for everyone.” She underscored her belief in taxing the rich rather than the poor, suggesting that everyone should have equal dignity.

However, her outspoken nature has led to backlash, especially regarding her comments on social media about Trump. After a recent U.S. military strike on Iran, she denoted it a “Sad Sad Day,” indicating complex feelings toward these events. She later expressed concerns about who bears the burden of such actions, questioning the fairness of military enlistment.

In February, Cloud criticized President Trump’s decision to eliminate certain government diversity programs, describing the existing power structures as racially exclusive. She insisted that systemic change is overdue in the country, expressing that profits often overshadow the human experience.

Amid this fervor, she reinforced her stance via social media, rallying against the framing of her views as “soft” or easily hurt. “I’m not soft, and the words don’t hurt me lol am we five? It’s still people beyond profit,” she articulated, underscoring her commitment to her beliefs.
