Los Angeles Sparks Contrary to what fans may think, rookie Cameron Brink woke up this week from surgery looking fresh.
Brink’s rookie season came to an abrupt end when he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during a game. Connecticut Sun last month.

“I never thought something like this would happen to me. Sometimes it happens despite how hard you try,” Brink wrote on Instagram about her injury.

“This is hard to comprehend, but I know it will only make me stronger. I will not be discouraged and will continue to love this life. I am not defined by basketball, but it is something I love deeply and I will work every day to get it back. It’s not goodbye to basketball, it’s only later. I always appreciate your thoughts and prayers.”
Brink shared an update on social media this week, saying she felt “so encouraged” that her surgery was a success, but fans couldn’t help but notice just how shapely she looked in photos she shared shortly after the procedure.

“She’s putting on makeup in her hospital bed,” one person wrote in a post shared by SportsCenter.
“Who would wear makeup to have surgery?” another replied.
But rather than being bothered by the comment, the former Stanford star took it as a compliment.
“I like that [people] “I think I have a full face of makeup on,” she wrote on social media, via Page Six.

2nd place overall 2024 WNBA Draft, Brink averaged 8.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in 15 games. She was selected to play for the U.S. Women’s 3×3 Team at the Paris Olympics, but was replaced by Sparks teammate Dearika Hamby.
