The primary challenge confronting the West extends beyond just wokeism, according to Blaze TV Host Nick Freitas.
Freitas describes wokeism as merely a facade for a more perilous and all-encompassing ideology. He cites a dangerous perspective known as “Third Worldism,” which pits “oppressors” in the West against “victims” in the Global South, aiming to decolonize and dismantle Western structures.
He argues that years ago, Europe laid the groundwork for Third Worldism, and now its devastating consequences are becoming evident.
“I’m not being dramatic. Europe may indeed be lost,” he observes.
In contrast, he suggests that the U.S. still has a chance to avert a similar fate, although time is running short. There are more indicators of impending issues than many might be aware of.
“What many people don’t realize is that if you examine the total count of democratic socialists in local, state, and federal offices in the U.S., the number is considerably higher than expected,” he mentions, highlighting that around 250 individuals currently hold elected positions.
“It’s crucial for Americans to understand this, as they often mistakenly believe it’s confined to a few extreme blue districts, but that’s simply not true. It’s much more widespread than that,” he adds.
An even more alarming aspect is the agenda outlined by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) on its website.
Freitas notes that the language used by DSA mirrors that of Third Worldists. “DSA’s international committee explicitly promotes global solidarity and anti-imperialism instead of solely focusing on domestic wokeism,” he explains.
This has significant implications. Quoting from the DSA’s website, Freitas points out its goal is “the complete decolonization of all occupied territories within the U.S., as well as granting sovereignty and self-determination to places like Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and American Samoa, among others.”
He stresses that fundamentally, they wish to “see the United States cease to exist,” arguing that the DSA’s mission is to “weaken and dismantle the West,” rather than seeking to restore order.
What’s particularly chilling, according to Freitas, is how the DSA downplays its extremist views to gain greater acceptance and influence.
He recalls an instance where Mamdani appeared on Jon Stewart’s show, essentially comparing socialism to Social Security and public libraries. But Freitas insists that if one investigates the terminology and affiliations Mamdani holds, the truth becomes evident: “They want America to fracture.”
