Woman emotionally reacts after being assaulted by a mob in Newport Beach unrest

A woman from Southern California is seen crying in a heartfelt video, sharing her experience of being attacked during the recent Fourth of July chaos at Newport Beach. She urges others to stay safe as another rally is on the horizon.

In the video, Cassandra Torres from Orange County recounted her frightening ordeal that occurred when large crowds gathered and numerous arrests were made.

Torres remembered riding an e-bike with friends when the crowd swelled, leading to their separation. She described witnessing a group of children right before she was knocked off her bike and lost consciousness.

She explained that the impact was so severe that she suffered a concussion. Upon regaining consciousness, she found herself surrounded by people and immediately called for help, feeling grateful to those around her who offered assistance.

Torres recalled someone remarking that she had been “thrown off” her bike. Following the incident, she was taken to the hospital, where she was treated for head, neck, and multiple other injuries, including cuts.

Reflecting on her hospital visit, Torres remarked on how busy it was and how quickly a celebratory day turned into a nightmare. Friends, worried about her ongoing health issues, started a GoFundMe campaign to assist with her medical expenses.

The campaign’s message acknowledged the emotional impact of the incident, stating that it has hindered her recovery process.

In another video on Instagram, Torres warned that a similar “beach bash” event is being planned for Huntington Beach and cautioned visitors to be vigilant. Local authorities are aware of the situation and have vowed to prevent such events from happening.

Huntington Beach officials stated they would collaborate with law enforcement to prepare for potential trouble, recalling prior incidents that led to violence and disorder.

They also reported ongoing investigations into those believed to be organizing the new event, noting that anyone associated with criminal activities related to the event could face arrest.

Following the Newport Beach incident, over 400 individuals were arrested, most of whom were minors, with many coming from outside the state.
