A woman was found dead on a train in Queens over the weekend during a conductor's routine daytime inspection, police said.
Authorities said the woman, who was believed to be between 50 and 60 years old and may have been homeless, was found sitting on a northbound F train on Jamaica 179th Street around 1:45 p.m. Saturday. It is said that
Police said her body was discovered by a conductor during a routine patrol at the first stop in the district.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no visible signs of trauma.
The City Medical Examiner's Office is scheduled to officially determine the cause of death.
