Woman took photos of credit cards while working at Lincoln restaurant, police say – KOLN

LINCOLN, Neb. (COLOGNE) – Authorities have charged a Lincoln woman after authorities found multiple credit card photos on her cell phone, according to court records.

Prosecutors charged 30-year-old Jasmine Parker with criminal possession of four or more financial transaction devices and unlawful distribution of a financial transaction device, both Class 2A felonies.

According to an arrest affidavit, Parker was wanted in connection with four robberies in Lincoln in mid-July. A search warrant was executed at her home and authorities gained access to Parker's phone.

They found multiple credit card photos taken at the Village Inn in Lincoln, according to the affidavit. Officers believe the photos were taken while Parker was at work, as several photos showed receipts on the backs of the cards.

A search of the cellphones also revealed that Parker had retrieved information and corresponding postal codes for two of the victims whose information had been stolen.

Police said the card was used to buy rideshares and bus tickets to North Platte. They also believe Parker tried to use one of the cards on a gambling website. At least six fraudulent charges were found on the cards of the two victims, totaling approximately $200 in losses.

Police believe Parker shared the stolen card information with family members, but it is unclear whether they used the card.

Parker was charged Wednesday with a felony, and a Lancaster County judge set her bail at 10 percent of $15,000. Her next court hearing is scheduled for January 2nd.
