When I worked on the staff of the 1st Marine Division from 2004 to 2007, I was a member of the team that had to “find” and “find” Marines to send to Iraq. Later, I was a member of the team who had to judge whether the battalion was really ready to develop.
The problem was people. Iraq was not working. The Marines had escaped from the service and refused to re -enter. At the same time, the recruiter had a hard time persuading American men to participate in war with terrorism.
My team was an enviable job to decide who would return to the war. The transfer order was canceled, Stop loss and remember Things, the Marines provided cash incentives to re -enter or extend the contract.
At the same time, this was a section from me. The administration's separation section was still processed from the army for those who were considered inappropriate -Guy and transgender Marines. It was puzzled by me.
We were pleading to those who didn't want to serve because we needed people to fight. Then I dawn to learn whether Peter Hegousz would be the Secretary of Defense. It is too scary to have many red blood cells Alpha man, a patriotic American man who actually participates in the army. And many women, homosexuals, transgenders and strange Americans are not.
The general misunderstanding about the Vietnam War was that everyone was drafted. This was not true. Most men were actually volunteers Patriotism, economic needs, adventures, or those who joined the army to escape from home. The rest were drained to fill the huge gap created to fight very complicated and popular wars. When the army died in Vietnam, they determined that all volunteers fighting was better when fighting against conflicts that might not be so popular at home.
Therefore, all modern volunteers were born. Immediately, the army learned two things. The first was that many patriotic men do not want to participate in the army. Why are they? It's dangerous, you have most rights, you may be sent to the war and die. So the military has made the transaction sweet. Universities, mortgages, vocational training, government employment and health care have all amplified. Nevertheless, the army was short and began to search for various participants.
One of the group they saw was a woman.
As we could see, in the past Vietnam era, women were flooded in the service and have traditionally been fully filled by men. They did a pretty good job about it -the troops did a lot of things that women could do with women and to be executed.
You probably caught a non -combat adjective. Good, it works later.
The army still refused to allow homosexuals and transgender Americans to serve, and discharged what they were involved in class. Things have become political, and the rules of notorious “don't ask, don't say” were enacted in the Clinton era. Of course, anyone who served in the meantime was forced to ask someone elegance to the services members of the gay as a friend. Thousands of service members have been discharged from this method.
After that, 9/11 happened, we went to Afghanistan. For some reason, we decided to go to Iraq. And this is where everything changes. When the Iraqi was formed as a rebellion, I noticed that the U.S. military was doing two jobs at a time: a battle of state construction and counter rebellion. It was almost impossible, and victims appeared. The Marine Corps (and the Army) began to assign women to do work such as patrols, fleets, and checkpoints.
Even a Marine Corps like me was taken from my desk's job and was assigned to an ad hoc battle unit because there was no Marine Corps to deploy. We had all the tough infantry leaders, such as nails, and learned everything we need to know about going to the war. And when we came back, they said they intended to send the unit again, but the women would join us this time because there were too few people.
There were two lessons learned from Iraq. The first was that when a woman was played in the battle, he was promoted to a task. The second is why gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans ask to serve a straighten man?
Peter Hesces went to the war. I believe that many of his opinions are formed by his deep and powerful experience from the service. Many men I served feel the same. I believe that things will be done smoothly and more efficiently, and the risk exceeds good, and women, homosexuals, bisexuals, and transgender service members are still weak.
However, these emotions are facing the unpleasant reality of Hiegs, military brass, recruiters, and battle units. Military recruitment is decreasing, and that is the problem Men simply don't want to serve。
Hegs is as patriotized as many men who claim to be a patriot, putting a flag on the truck, chanting “America” in a sporting event or criticizing the United States online. You can know that there is. And if he wants to keep the U.S. forces in a state of battle, he must rely on women and men who think they should not serve this country.
