There were blatant fireworks about to go off!
Monday’s edition of ESPN’s “First Take” centered around Caitlin Clark and turned out to be as brutal as we’ve seen from an Indiana Fever superstar game. (RELATED: The Caitlin Clark Effect is So Big It’s Making WNBA Rivals Totally Delusional)
The conversation turned to Clark’s busy weekend. Meaningless foul Saturday from Chicago SkyGuard Chennedy Carter and Terrible 3 points After covering Sunday’s blowout loss to the New York Liberty, ESPN commentator Monica McNutt harshly criticized her colleague Stephen A. Smith for not adequately covering both the WNBA and women’s sports. And, understandably, Stephen A. Smith was furious.
“Who talks more about the WNBA, who talks more about women, who talks more about women’s sports than First Take?” Smith asked during the show.

Monica McNutt: “With all due respect, Stephen A., with your platform, you could have done this three years ago if you wanted to.”

I don’t intend to address the issue of race, but I’ll leave it here LOL…
The Pat McAfee Show on Monday began with a PowerPoint presentation by Caitlin Clark.
“It’s all well and good that people in the media keep saying, ‘This rookie class, this rookie class, this rookie class.’ No, tell it like it is: There’s one superstar white girl on that Indiana team.” pic.twitter.com/psGNQXts5O

But McNutt said Stephen was supposed to have covered the WNBA three years ago…what on earth was he going to say?
Except for eye candy like Candace Parker. Kelsey Plum and Skylar Diggins Smithnothing interesting has happened so far.
Nothing funny here, but then… wait for it… the Caitlin Clark effect kicks in. Sorry, but no pity.
