NATIONAL HARBOR, Maryland – Brexit leader Nigel Farage told reporters at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Thursday: If former President Donald Trump became America’s commander in chief, “the world would be a better and safer place.”
When asked by Breitbart News what Trump, who is racing toward the Republican nomination, would need to do to win the presidential election in November, Farage said, “I’m going to do more than any other candidate.” It’s about getting votes,” he joked, before calling Trump’s 2024 campaign “even more professional than the other candidates.” ” in his previous campaign.
“I think the way he runs his campaign is much more professional than it was in ’16 or ’20. I think the message is very clear and I think there’s a drive,” Farage said on radio. He spoke in detail at a press conference.
The Brexit boss, who has reignited populism in Britain, suggested the “state of America’s cities”, the border crisis and President Joe Biden’s weakness on the world stage were problems for the party. He noted that the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan in the summer of 2021, in which 13 US service members were killed in an attack in Kabul, was a precursor to other horrific events on the world stage.

“I mean, look at the situation in American cities. Look at what’s happening at the border. Look at the world situation, especially with Biden’s weakness over Kabul in Afghanistan leading to bad things like this.” “We’re doing it,” Farage said. “I am his full supporter. [Trump]. I truly believe, as I have from the beginning, that the world would be a better and safer place if he became president. ”

His comments echoed sentiments he shared when he told Sky News in January that he believed Russia would not have invaded Ukraine if Trump had been president.
Mr. Trump has long advocated a foreign policy worldview of “peace through strength,” and has vowed to negotiate a swift end to the war between Ukraine and Russia if elected.
At a CNN town hall event in May, President Trump told host Caitlan Collins that he would meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and Russian President Vladimir Putin and that he would “resolve the war in one day, within 24 hours.” I’ll let you do it.”
“I want everyone to stop dying. Russians and Ukrainians are dying. I want them to stop dying,” he added. “And I will end it…I will end it within 24 hours. I need presidential authority to make that happen.”
