The 20-year-old would-be assassin who opened fire on former President Donald Trump on Saturday used a rifle he borrowed from his father under the pretense of going to a shooting range.
On Monday, Breitbart News noted that the rifle used in the assassination attempt had been “legally purchased” by the shooter’s father.
ABC7 No. 7 I got it. On the day of the shooting, the would-be assassin asked his father if he could borrow a rifle to take to the shooting range.
The media reported:
Crooks had been seen wandering around the area of the rally for at least an hour before the shooting, and video obtained by Pittsburgh’s ABC affiliate WTAE showed him wandering just outside the perimeter of the Trump rally at 5:06 p.m., about an hour and five minutes before the first shots were fired.
The would-be assassin then went to the building where he had taken his final position and succeeded in scaling the building by climbing from air conditioning unit to air conditioning unit.
Fox News report The culprit posted on STEAM, “It will be unveiled for the first time on July 13th. Please wait and see what happens.”
The would-be assassin was shot dead by Secret Service agents 26 seconds after firing at President Trump.
