On Friday, demolition workers demolishing a burned-out St. Louis factory accidentally slammed a brick wall into a power tower, causing a brief explosion that flickered power to some downtown buildings.

No one was injured, but the St. Louis City Council lost live streaming and staff members were forced to take a short break, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

Authorities have not disclosed the cause of the accident.

Workers were demolishing a five-story warehouse near the Mississippi River where a fire broke out Saturday. A massive fire in a vacant building produced smoke that could be seen for miles. Approximately 80 firefighters were called to the scene.
