A new Money in the Bank winner was crowned in Toronto on Saturday night, with one WWE superstar’s attempt to claim the prize from World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest coming up short.

Drew McIntyre started the night as the number one wrestler in the world, warning off Priest and Seth Rollins. McIntyre climbed the ladder in the opening match and won the Money in the Bank ladder match, earning himself a briefcase for a World Title shot at any time.

Priest and Rollins felt McIntyre’s presence throughout their World Heavyweight Championship match, and just when it looked like Rollins would beat Priest to win the title, the referee counted two and McIntyre’s theme music began.

“The Scottish Warrior” took down Rollins with a FutureShock DDT and then Priest with a Claymore, but just as McIntyre was about to pin Priest, CM Punk came out of nowhere to stop the match, chased McIntyre to the ring announcer’s corner and hit him multiple times with a chair.

Priest then hit McIntyre with the South of Heaven for the pinfall win.

Punk sat on top of the announcer’s table and watched Priest win, but Rollins hid off to the side, as he was just as upset as McIntyre and felt that Punk had caused him to lose.

Priest left Toronto as champion, and McIntyre and Rollins will likely be looking for answers on “Monday Night Raw.”

The women’s Money in the Bank ladder match featured plenty of ladder slams and dangerous flips, especially at the end of the match.

Tiffany Stratton and local favorite Chelsea Green set up two tables outside the ring and attempted to force one of the other four opponents through the ring.

The two competitors remaining in the ring were Stratton and Green, who tried to climb to the top of the ladder to grab the briefcase: Stratton was on the ladder below the case, but Green was close enough to get there, on the ladder next to him.

Stratton and Greene fought each other, but it was Stratton who pushed Greene off a ladder and through a table outside the ring, leaving Greene down and Stratton holding the briefcase in the end.

She can now cash in the briefcase and challenge for the Women’s World Title at any time, and the SmackDown Superstar has made it clear that she has a shot at Bayley’s Women’s World Championship.

The odds seem to be in Stratton’s favor, as a women’s Money in the Bank cash-in has never failed.
