Xaviaer DuRousseau Explains How He Got Red-Pilled by PragerU

The following content will look like this Pragel. This is the second in a three-part series. See part 1 here.

Social Media Sensation Xavier Durouseau is a former Black Lives Matter activist who “erroneously picked red” himself while watching a video on Progeru. New Show, Respectful, Xavierand Pragel.

On the show, Durowthau dives into pop culture and politics through the lens of those who were on either side of the political aisle, using his quick wit and humor to break down related topics through his unique perspective.

In a recent interview, Durousseau has been personal about his background, who he is, how he became a conservative, and what he is doing now.

Do you think it was one Pragel video that stood out from you and catalyzed yourself into “erroneously red-pipping”?

“It's very difficult to put that on one video because I went through this whole mission of exposing Pragel, and every time there was a video I felt I couldn't expose it. Go to the next one and then go to the next video Durossau revealed.

Durossau explained in detail:

It started with the race. It started with finally realising that BLM had raised all this money. I remember getting frustrated during my time at BLM: “Why do we pay for things? Why are they? [the national organization] Are you not funding what we're doing? “And they told me that my focus was in the wrong place. So it was my biggest “this can't be done anymore” moment to know that they had raised so much money and that money wasn't going to gong into the real causes of the black community. .

But I was painted red on so many things. I thought capitalism was terrible. I identified myself as a democratic socialist at a university and learned that fraudulent socialism taught me a lot. Knowing how Marxism followed me was really chasing me without even knowing whether Marxism really changed my perspective.

“Then learn about Democratic history,” Durossau continued. “I never thought the KKK was a Democrat. I never thought that people who had long been opposed to civil rights were always these Democrats.”

Didn't these Prager video hosts also not what you were expecting?

“I was thrown into the range of people they spoke out,” Durossau said. “I remember seeing Brandon Tatum and being so confused about how this black man could stand with Pragel.”

“If I had to emphasize one person, it would be Dr. Carol Swain,” he added, and especially considering that she grew up in the isolated South, he was accused of Swain. He quoted the high respect for having the doctor's opinion.

“She really blew my mind off about a lot of things,” Durossau said. “I was like my Southern aunt here talking to me about Democratic history. It completely blows my heart away.”

What was your first impression of Dennis Prager when you met him?

“I didn't expect his personality to match exactly who he was on the radio, but he's everything he's on the radio,” Durossau said. “He's a published book and he'll open you up as a book too. That was certainly my first impression.”

“He's also why I'm in a relationship with my dad right now, and that's something I'm always grateful for,” he added.

Durossau explained:

In our second week at Pragel we were flying to West Palm Beach and I was able to sit next to it [Prager]. One of the first things he asked me was what my relationship with my parents was like. And he realized that I had scooped up what I was talking about my father. Because my mother doesn't agree with my politics, but she supports me in doing what I have passion. But I didn't really talk about my father.

When I explained to him that my father and I had no connections, mainly because of politics, he reached out to my father and strongly encouraged me to become a bigger person, and politics was like that. He was a person who strongly encouraged him to realize that he was worth losing that bond.

“For that conversation [with Prager]my dad and I are talking about conditions now and we can get along better than we have in the last five years,” Durossau said.

How was it like being conservative to you on a personal level with friends and family? Has anyone ever been painted red in the process or did it cause a severity?

“All the above,” Durossau said. “To this day, I have a certain family member who doesn't talk to me. I have a brother who has completely lost all of my respect for me. My father and I didn't talk for a few years, but now Good conditions. I have a cousin who has a red hole with me and another cousin who really doesn't like talking to me.”

“At one point, I was told not to come to my family function anymore,” the social media sense continued. “There was even a funeral I wanted to go to, but I realized very quickly that I wasn't welcome at the funeral. It was really tough. At the time, I lost many people who were thinking of friends. Ta.”

“To this day, I will deal with the repulsion that comes with it [being conservative]But I still have a lot of friendships that I don't talk about politics,” he added. “I have a friendship where I can talk about it in a friendly way, and I agree to just joke about it about it and disagree. Then I also see the light I have a lot of them either waiting for me or they're going to see the light now.”

“It's all over the board,” Durossau said.

Going back five years ago, and saying your younger self will become the main voice of a conservative movement, how will your younger self react?

“The person I was five years ago said, 'Oh, no, I'm Uncle Tom and I'm sold out,” Durossau laughed.

If you could say something to your younger self for five years, what would you tell him?

“You are always objective and willing to learn, and despite the difficulties, the journey you learn and grew up in is 100% worth, and you always answer God's plans and God's timing. It will always be the answer,” Durossau said, a serious voice.

“And I'm also making it clear that I'm happier, healthier, blacker, more pro-American and American rights than ever before,” he adds. I did.

“It feels like my values haven't changed, and it's just a change in my perspective,” Durossau said. “Because I still want to protect people's freedom. I still want racial equality in the country. I still want to hold people accountable accountable. I still want to hold people accountable. I still want people to be educated about history and the times.”

“I'm no longer looking at things through the lens of victims of my race,” he asserted.
