XRP’s Price Dynamics and Bitcoin Influence
As XRP once again dips into the red, discussions about its future direction have reignited. Barsan Aljara, the founder of Black Swan Capitalist, has asserted that XRP’s price stability largely hinges on its connection to Bitcoin.
On November 11, a well-known financial strategist caught the XRP community off guard. He pointed out that, despite some positive developments, XRP will keep experiencing price fluctuations as long as it remains influenced by Bitcoin.
In his remarks, Aljara described Bitcoin as a “debt-based speculative asset,” noting that it significantly impacts price trends across the entire cryptocurrency landscape, including XRP.
He argues that XRP must break free from Bitcoin’s influence to forge its own path, which would potentially enhance its long-term prospects.
Decoupling from Bitcoin: When Will It Happen?
Aljara’s assertion that real progress will come when XRP separates from Bitcoin has garnered support from various voices within the XRP community. Still, there’s a shared curiosity about how long this process might take.
The analyst pointed out that XRP’s current price movements are tied to Bitcoin’s speculative trends, rather than reflecting Bitcoin’s practical applications, like institutional engagement and real-world usage. However, he expressed optimism that this correlation is only temporary and that a significant breakout is on the horizon.
One community member expressed a hopeful sentiment, suggesting that the moment XRP decouples from Bitcoin might be closer than anticipated. They proposed a timeframe of just 11 days, indicating that Ripple has spent over a decade establishing a robust financial infrastructure, obtaining licenses, and forming partnerships with banks and payment networks worldwide to position XRP for greater independence.
With the launch of the first spot XRP ETF on the horizon, observers also note that XRP has already attracted institutional interest from banks, liquidity providers, and payment companies, which may enhance its autonomy in the near future.
