Yankee-killer Astros get swept out of MLB playoffs by upstart Tigers

Boom, boom, the Astros are gone.

The Tigers defeated the Yankees' biggest postseason opponent, the Astros, in Game 2 of the American League Wild Card Series on Wednesday, sweeping Houston out of the playoffs.

Detroit scored four runs in the eighth inning, giving the Tigers a 5-2 victory.

They now move forward to face the Guardians in the ALDS.
