Anthony Rizzo had three hits in the 9-4 loss to the Red Sox, extending his Grapefruit League hitting streak to seven games.

He has 11 hits in 18 at bats this spring.

It caught my eye

Gleyber Torres hit a home run to center field in the fifth inning. After another offseason of uncertainty, he has gone 7-for-16 with a double and a home run in his last six games.

Thursday schedule

Marcus Stroman is scheduled to start against the Tigers at 1:05 p.m. at Joker Merchant Stadium in Lakeland, Florida, and Jonathan Loaisiga is scheduled to make his spring debut.
