Yankees’ Giancarlo Stanton exits early vs. Braves with hamstring tightness

Giancarlo Stanton left Saturday’s game against the Braves with a strained left hamstring and is scheduled to undergo imaging on Sunday. The Yankees announced.

The move came after Stanton hit a double; Scored in the bottom of the fourth.

He came on as a pinch hitter with Trent Grisham batting first in the bottom of the sixth inning with the Yankees leading 4-1 in the Bronx.

The 34-year-old stayed healthy this season, bouncing back from a poor 2023 season and hitting 18 home runs in 69 games.

Stanton hasn’t played any outfield time at all, as he has in recent years, as he worked to improve his fitness during the offseason to avoid the foot injuries that have plagued him for most of the past two seasons.

But the Yankees can only hope that Stanton won’t be out for an extended period of time.
