Yankees still look poised to win the AL after weathering early storms

The Yankees have some obvious flaws – the current backend of their rotation, their ex-close and their weatherman, come to mind – but this team still managed to win that league with ease.

I was frustrated early. “The worst number one team I’ve ever seen” is the phrase I’ve heard. However, some adjustments and improvements (plus health improvements) may actually show that it is the worst and best, not the other way around.

Due to the strange kind of habit, the five strongest teams may just be in the National League. So even those Yankees who have been prevented from these injuries are: 1) A great chance to win a pennant. 2) There is absolutely no excuse (despite the spring from hell).

The Yankees destroyed the Blue Jays with an 11-2 score on Sunday at the stadium in the first match of the doubleheader required by a false rainout on Saturday. Plus, help is coming. Lewis Gill is pitching in the rehabilitation game to start throwing (early than planned), with Jonathan Roashga pitching in the rehabilitation game and DJ lemahieu in repairs (yes, I’ve heard of it).
