‘You have no balls’: Hunter Biden abruptly leaves contempt hearing after Nancy Mace confronts him directly

The Capitol was thrown into chaos when Hunter Biden made a surprise visit to a House Oversight Committee hearing.

The committee met Wednesday to consider a resolution to hold Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress for ignoring a congressional subpoena last month. Hunter entered the hearing along with his attorneys, Abby Lowell and Kevin Morris, after Speaker James Comer (R) gave opening remarks.

After Mr. Hunter's unscheduled appearance, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) asked Mr. Comer to read. The Committee stipulates that: Hunter was immediately prevented from testifying.

And Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R.S.C.) had the opportunity to speak.

“My first question is, who bribed Hunter Biden to come here today?” she began, before addressing Hunter directly.

“You are the epitome of white privilege, ignoring Congressional subpoenas for your removal, coming to the Oversight Committee and spitting in our faces,” she said. “What are you afraid of? There are no balls coming here.”

Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) quickly interrupted Mace and demanded that Comer vote to allow Hunter to testify, which would be a violation. committee rules.

“Are women allowed to speak here or not?” Mace shot back as several councilors talked among themselves. “I think Hunter Biden should be arrested here right now and sent to prison immediately. It is based on.”

After civility was restored, Mace was allowed to finish his speech. She concluded by telling Hunter, “You play stupid games and win stupid prizes.”

Moskowitz then defended Hunter for five minutes and criticized Comer before Hunter abruptly left the hearing when Green was credited with speaking.

After Mr. Lowell left the hearing room, spoke briefly with the media And he accused Republicans, without evidence, of being motivated by “improper partisan motives” in their investigation into corruption allegations against the Biden family.

Lowell also accused Republicans of being “afraid” of what Hunter would say, which is not true. The House Oversight and Judiciary Committee issued a subpoena and expressed a desire to hear from Hunter on the record, but the eldest son understandably did not respond to these legal requests.

It's unclear exactly why Hunter decided to appear at Wednesday's hearing. Republicans no doubt feel that Mr. Hunter meant to ridicule them, and that they ignored him last month when he appeared on the Senate side of the Capitol at his scheduled time for a deposition. I felt how much I felt.

If the House committee passes the contempt resolution, it will go to the full House for a vote. If the House votes to hold Hunter in contempt, the matter will be referred to the U.S. Attorney's Office. Therefore, the Justice Department will have the final say on whether Hunter will be charged with contempt.
