President Joe Biden again mocked gun owners over the weekend, suggesting he would need F-16 fighter jets if he wanted to seriously confront the government.
town hall report Biden told reporters, quoting Thomas Jefferson's famous quote, “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”
“And I love people who say, 'Blood of Liberty,' or excuse me, 'The Tree of Liberty is poured with the blood of patriots,'” Biden said. Yeah, come on, I don't see a lot of patriots walking around to see if we have these weapons…and if you really want to worry about the government, you need the F-16 . ”
Biden made similar comments in midsummer 2023 after receiving similar ridicule a year ago.

Biden went on to say, “I love the people who say the Second Amendment…the tree of liberty is poured with the blood of patriots.” “Well, if [you] You want to do that, you want to go against the government, you need the F-16. You need something other than an AR-15. ”
