YUNGBLUD Cancels Tour on Medical Advice
British artist YUNGBLUD, born Dominic Richard Harrison, has decided to cancel his upcoming tour due to health concerns. After undergoing routine tests, his medical team expressed worry when his results came back elevated.
“This year has been truly incredible. I feel so lucky and honored by everything that has happened,” he shared on social media. “However, upon returning home from an outing, I had my usual tests done and the results were concerning.”
Currently, it remains unclear what specific health issues the “Strawberry Lipstick” singer is facing. He mentioned that his doctor advised a break from touring until the year’s end.
“I usually run full speed ahead, focused solely on the music and my fans, but this time things are different,” he wrote. “I’ve been told to take it seriously. I can’t ignore it.”
The singer expressed feelings of heartbreak over the cancellation of several performances, including stops in Philadelphia, Cleveland, Washington, and cities in Mexico and Latin America.
“I am genuinely sorry for this decision. It’s tough for me, but I must prioritize my health. I don’t want any long-term damage. I understand this is frustrating for many, but I promise I’ll make it up to you,” YUNGBLUD added.
He also acknowledged that all tickets for U.S. shows will be refunded. “I never take your support for granted. You all mean the world to me. I need this time to recover. America, I’ll see you next year. I’m looking into more affordable shows in Mexico and Latin America for next year. It’s going to be amazing. I can’t wait.”
A representative for YUNGBLUD has not yet responded to requests for further comments.
