Guard Zach LaVine will undergo surgery on his right foot after the season after consulting with the team and his agent, Klutch Sports Group. announced by the club.

LaVine has been dealing with inflammation in his foot and missed 17 games earlier this year.
During a game on January 18, LaVine sprained his ankle in the third quarter, and although he returned during the win over the Raptors, he played just two minutes in the fourth quarter.
He has not played in a game since then.
Bulls head coach Billy Donovan told reporters Friday that although the ankle inflammation is improving, LaVine will be sidelined at least until next week’s NBA trade deadline.
“It’s still going to take some time because it’s still causing him problems,” Donovan said. According to NBC Sports Chicago. “The foot is inflamed and it will be another week before I can get it re-examined. They are hoping it will subside. We were all hoping it would happen a little sooner. . But that wasn’t the case.”
The two-time All-Star played in just 25 games this year, averaging 19.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game.
The Bulls are on top of the postseason bubble, sitting in ninth place in the Eastern Conference with a 23-26 record heading into Saturday’s game.

Overall this year, the Bulls are 13-11 without LaVine and 3-3 in his last game since his recent absence.
Now, they will be without him for an extended period of time with an injury that could affect their East playoff prospects.
