Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has slammed former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), attacking them in the U.S. media and on Sunday touring a munitions factory in Pennsylvania, reportedly arriving there on an Air Force jet at taxpayer expense.

The question-and-answer session in the article reveals Zelensky openly attacking Trump, claiming that “even if you think you know how to stop a war, you don't actually know.”
“In this war, the deeper you look, the less you understand it is often. I have seen many leaders who were convinced they could end it tomorrow only to think deeper and realize that it is not that simple,” he said, criticizing Vance, Trump's running mate, as “overly radical.”
“Vance has released a more precise plan.” New Yorker President Zelensky interjected: “Give up the territory.”
“Those are your words, not mine. But yes, that's the gist.” New Yorker Zelensky essentially continued to criticize the Trump-Vance team.
His message seems to be that Ukraine must make sacrifices. This goes back to the question of costs and who will bear them. The idea that the world will end this war at Ukraine's expense is unacceptable. But I don't consider this idea of his to be a plan in the formal sense. It would be a terrible idea to make Ukraine bear the costs of stopping the war by forcing it to give up territory, if someone were to actually try to do it. But this will never happen. Such a scenario is not based on international norms, UN conventions, or justice. And it doesn't necessarily end the war. It's just a slogan.
It would be one thing if these were just interviews, but Zelensky, who is busy criticizing the Republican presidential candidate, reportedly flew to the US and toured an ammunition factory in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania on Sunday. Moreover, he appears to have arrived at the facility aboard a US Air Force C-17, meaning he arrived on US taxpayer money.
Donald Trump Jr. was among those who pointed out the absurdity of the whole thing.
“So how can a foreign leader, who receives billions of dollars of American taxpayer funding, have the nerve to come to our country and attack a Republican presidential candidate?” he asked, noting that the timing was particularly bad given that the Ukraine-obsessed man had attempted to assassinate his father just a week earlier.
“And he does this right after pro-Ukrainian zealots tried to assassinate my father? Disgraceful!” Don Jr. added.
Notably, Vice President Kamala Harris pledged an additional $1.5 billion to Ukraine in June.
In a recent interview with X Spaces, Trump said that as the next president, he would end the Russia-Ukraine war.
I want Russia to make peace with Ukraine and stop this. Millions of people are being killed. Much more than the numbers you read. But I want to get it done as the next president before I take office, because this is a problem that has to be solved. You see, too many people have died, too many cities are in rubble right now, cultures are being destroyed. We have to get it done, and I will get it done. Otherwise there would have been no October 7, there would have been no Russian attack on Ukraine, there would have been no inflation. All this inflation that has hurt people so badly. There would have been no horrible withdrawal. We would have withdrawn from Afghanistan, but with dignity and strength. It was the most embarrassing moment in the history of our country.
“And frankly, without that, Russia would not have intervened in Ukraine,” Trump added, pointing out the weaknesses of the Biden-Harris administration. “They looked at that and said, 'This country is no longer run by Trump. This country is run by stupid people.'”
