Zelensky Shuts Down Reported Trump Peace Plan, Vance Warns U.S. Will ‘Walk Away’ if No Agreement

Ukrainian President Voldymir Zelensky has rejected the framework of a peace agreement proposed by the Trump administration that freed the boundaries of the conflict and recognized Crimea as Russia’s territory.

The planned peace negotiations in London on Wednesday were downgraded after it became clear that there were still major fault lines on what the acceptable objectives of the war would be.

According to a report in Paris last week, Washington negotiators have proposed an outline of a deal to end the conflict, including the American “de jure” perception of Crimea’s ownership, which Moscow has ruled since 2014 and is a region traditionally under the scope of Russian influence.

In exchange, the Kremlin must agree to freeze its current frontline. Vladimir Putin claims that the four eastern Ukrainian provinces, Donetsk, Carson, Luhansk and Zaporidia, are justly Russia, but the Russian military claims that they have fully acquired all the territory in the controversial region.

This agreement therefore means that Russia must transfer territory to Ukraine that considers itself. Financial Times Vladimir Putin reports that he is open to such proposals. However, the Kremlin has not confirmed its location.

Despite the Ukrainian forces either failed to regain Crimea in the last decade or in fact four occupied states over the past three years, President Zelensky said Tuesday evening that the territory was out of question. I’m saying: “There is nothing to talk about. It is our land, the land of the people of Ukrainians.”

Speaking from India on Wednesday, US Vice President JD Vance I said To work, “Both Ukrainians and Russians must give up on some of the territory they currently own.” If that fails, the US warned that it would be willing to withdraw from negotiations.

“We have issued a very explicit proposal for both Russians and Ukrainians. It’s time for them to say ‘Yes’ or the US to leave this process,” Vance said.

According to The “final offer” presented to Axios to Kyiv and Moscow also included a commitment that Ukraine would not become a member of the US-led NATO military alliance. However, the deal reportedly carve out to allow Ukraine to join the European Union.

According to the news outlet, the deal “has strengthened economic cooperation with the US” from Russia.

Finally, sanctions imposed on Moscow after 2014 will be lifted. In addition to agreeing to such terms with Kyiv and Moscow, Europeans will need to acquiesce given their massive sanctions regime on Russia and the tens of billions of people holdings on Russian financial assets that Moscow has requested to return.

However, as long as Ukraine refuses to accept the framework, the point may be silent. Kiev said the 30-day ceasefire should be a predicate of negotiations despite accusing Russia of using the Easter ceasefire to advance its military status and continuing to attack Ukrainian targets.

Ukraine has frequently had this debate over why peace agreements with Russia were not reliable. Deputy Prime Minister Julijah Swillidenko I said Wednesday: “There is no agreement to give Russia the strong foundation needed to reorganize with greater violence and return.”

In response to Zelensky, US President Trump tackled the Truth Society on Wednesday afternoon. write His comments were “very harmful” to peace talks with Russia.

“Crimea was lost years ago under the auspices of President Barack Hussein Obama, and it’s not even a point of discussion. No one has asked Zelenkiy to recognize Crimea as Russian territory, but if they want Crimea, why were they not fighting for it when it was handed over to Russia without being fired?”

“The area also houses major Russian submarine bases for many years of “Obama’s extradition.” This is a statement of inflammation like Zelensky’s, and this war is not too difficult to resolve. He said that the situation in Ukraine is not dire. He can have peace. And in a week, Ukrainian soldiers almost die for no reason. ”

“The statement made by Zelenskyy today not only prolongs the ‘murder field’, but no one wants it! We are very close to the deal, but the “no card to play” guy is looking forward to being able to help Ukraine and Russia in the end.
