Zelenskyy Meets Trump’s Envoy in Casual Attire
During a recent meeting with Keith Kellogg, an envoy from former President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was spotted wearing a T-shirt, as shown in footage shared on X.
Reportedly, the White House had inquired whether Zelenskyy would consider filing a lawsuit during his discussions with Trump at the White House. In a video posted by Anton Gerashchenko, Zelenskyy appeared in a black T-shirt. Some consider this choice of attire symbolic, especially in light of past interactions between the leaders.
According to the president’s office, Zelenskyy was scheduled to meet with Kellogg at a hotel close to the White House. This meeting was seen as significant in the context of security discussions between the U.S. and Europe.
Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for the invitation, stating that the discussions are crucial for security assurance and underlining the importance of U.S. and European cooperation. He also mentioned his appreciation for the expected participation of notable European leaders in an upcoming conference.
Known for his casual and military attire during official visits, Zelenskyy has often opted against formal wear, a choice that reportedly contributed to noticeable tensions during an earlier White House meeting with Trump. Sources indicated he wore the same black jacket he sported at the NATO summit in June.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump commented that Zelenskyy could potentially bring an end to the conflict with Russia, providing that Russia renounces its goals regarding NATO membership and its claim over Crimea, which it annexed in 2014.
Trump asserted that if desired, Zelenskyy could swiftly resolve the war, drawing on the historical context of the situation.
