Zendaya is clearly embracing her bridal phase.
The 28-year-old star of “Dune: Part 2” made a striking appearance at the 2025 Met Gala, catching fans off guard.
Her headpiece was pivotal to this year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” but she quickly added another layer of meaning to her look.
She chose a cream silk suit by Louis Vuitton, complete with flared pants that boasted sharp creases, a tailored blazer featuring silver snake designs on the back, and a crisp white button-down shirt. To top it off, she wore a matching vest, a white tie, and an oversized hat that framed her face—evoking a style reminiscent of Bianca Jagger.
Though stylist Law Roach, who has worked with Zendaya for years, didn’t join her on the red carpet, he hinted at the bridal inspiration by sharing a side-by-side photo of Zendaya and Bianca on his Instagram, without any caption.
Fans quickly picked up on the connection and expressed their admiration.
“Zendaya’s look reminds me of Bianca Jagger and her iconic white suit,” one user noted on X (formerly Twitter).
Another echoed this sentiment, stating, “Zendaya!!! Such a perfect homage to Bianca Jagger’s ’70s suit!”
Many have speculated that Zendaya’s outfit also held references to the Zoot suits popularized in the 1940s, primarily worn by Black men during that era.
This ensemble resonated with the Met Gala’s theme, which celebrated “Black Dandism.” This movement highlights how elegantly dressed Black men have long utilized fashion for strength, protest, and self-expression.
