Zohran Mamdani Teaches Undocumented Immigrants How to Avoid ICE

Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s Guidance for Illegal Migrants in NYC

New York City’s socialist Mayor, Zohran Mamdani, recently provided advice to undocumented immigrants on how to evade U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and highlighted their rights.

In a video shared on X, where he spoke in Spanish with English subtitles, Mamdani informed viewers that ICE agents cannot legally enter private property without a judicial order. He emphasized that undocumented migrants have the right to remain silent.

“If you encounter ICE, these are your rights,” he stated. “Firstly, ICE can’t enter private spaces without a judicial order. This includes your home, hospitals, churches, and private workplaces.”

Mamdani urged undocumented individuals to look for phrases like “United States District Court” and ensure a judge’s signature is present on any documents. He added that if agents lack a judicial order, individuals can declare that they “do not consent” to their entry.

“Secondly, you have the right to remain silent. If ICE stops you on the street, ask, ‘Am I free to go?’ If they say yes, then walk away calmly. It’s wise to talk to a lawyer before signing anything or making decisions about your immigration status,” Mamdani explained. “Lastly, remember you are not alone; anyone can reach out to the city’s immigration legal support line.”

Previously reported by Breitbart News, Mamdani, who is known for his “Red/Green” coalition comprising migrants, Muslims, and progressives, has previously referred to criminal undocumented immigrants as New Yorkers.

Mamdani’s position appears to compel New Yorkers to share their public spaces, culture, limited economic resources, and political power with all individuals who enter the city unlawfully. This sentiment seems to resonate with an increasing faction of Democratic officials.

Born in Uganda, Mamdani became a U.S. citizen after arriving in the country at age seven in 1991. He leveraged his citizenship to become mayor, aligning himself with a diverse coalition inclusive of migrants, progressives, and various ethnic communities.

In a letter to about “100 Democrat officials across the sanctuary state,” Mamdani urged “parking lot and parking garage owners” to notify ICE agents that they are unwelcome. This plea followed an incident involving criminal undocumented immigrant Oscar Belgal, who reportedly attempted to harm ICE agents during an arrest attempt.

Mamdani’s recent remarks on evading ICE coincide with ongoing investigations by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and New York state officials, which targeted multiple adult care centers in relation to Medicaid fraud, according to Fox5NY.
