A Michigan woman was recently found living inside a sign on the roof of a grocery store, which a local police officer called “sickening.”
Police said the unidentified 34-year-old woman was homeless and had been living inside a grocery store sign for a year, as well as a desk, coffee maker, computer and printer.
She was discovered on April 23 when a contractor at the store in Midland, Michigan, noticed someone had run an extension cord up to the roof where the plug-in was located.
“This is a head-scratching story,” Midland Police Officer Brenon Warren told reporters Thursday. “This is just a human being living inside a billboard.” “The floor was laid out. There was a mini-desk, her clothes, a Keurig coffee maker, a printer, a computer, all the things we had at home.”
