12K Migrants Apprehended in Arizona Border Sector in 7 Days

According to unofficial reports, Border Patrol agents in the Tucson area have apprehended nearly 12,000 migrants in the past week. This is up from just under 10,000 a week ago.

Tucson District Patrol Chief Agent John Modlin posted a video report on X, revealing that his agents have arrested approximately 11,900 immigrants in the past seven days. Investigators also arrested 126 people on federal crimes.

Tucson personnel conducted 22 migrant rescues and thwarted 10 human smuggling attempts during the reporting period.

During the first three reporting periods in January, Tucson area officials arrested nearly 35,000 immigrants (approximately 1,662 immigrants per day). This compares to 10,200 migrants (486 per day) during the same period last year. This represents an increase of over 240% compared to January last year.

An unofficial report on arrests in December reviewed by Breitbart Texas revealed that Tucson-area officials arrested about 80,000 immigrants, or 2,500 per day. January's numbers mean there will be a total of about 235,000 immigrants starting in fiscal year 2024.
