Teen Arrested for Alleged Double Shooting

An 18-year-old man has been taken into custody in West Virginia, suspected of fatally shooting his mother and injuring his father in their Pennsylvania home the day after Christmas.

Jarrod Noll faces charges of murder and attempted murder related to the incident.

Pennsylvania State Police responded to a call at a residence on Garrison Ridge Road in Freeport Township, Greene County, around 2 p.m. on Friday.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Noll’s parents suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to the hospital, where unfortunately, the mother was later declared dead, while the father’s condition stabilized, and he was eventually released.

Authorities initiated a search for Noll, who fled the scene on foot following the shooting. He was described as armed and dangerous, prompting an extensive search by police.

“Tracking dogs were deployed, helicopters were utilized, and officers combed the rugged terrain,” stated Pennsylvania State Police Sergeant Richard Sizer, highlighting the seriousness of having a suspect with a murder warrant on the loose.

Noll was arrested without incident by West Virginia State Police on Saturday.

He is set to remain in West Virginia until he can be extradited back to Pennsylvania. During the shooting, his siblings were reportedly present at home, but it appears the attack occurred outside. Those children have now been placed with relatives.
