Two New Jersey police officers were hospitalized with injuries after being attacked Sunday night.
Around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Galloway Township police officers responded to a 911 disconnected call to a residence on Cresson Street in Galloway Township, the department said in a news release.
Two police officers were investigating a report when they were attacked by the suspect.

One officer was stabbed in the side of the face, and the other suffered injuries to the head, police said. As of early Monday morning, neither officer had been identified.
Both officers were transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Division for treatment.
One person is being treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, and the other has already been released from hospital.

The suspect, whose identity has not been released, was also taken into custody.
The department said the incident remains under investigation and more details are expected to be released later Monday.
