2024 Charles Schwab Challenge winner’s prize features stunning retro hot rod

Last year, Emiliano Grillo, winner of the 2023 Charles Schwab Challenge, took home a restored 1973 Ford Bronco along with his prize money.

What will the winner of this year’s event receive along with the $1.638 million prize?

Charles Schwab will present a restored and modernized 1975 Corvette Schwab Stingray to the winner in 2024. The winner will also take home the Colonial Leonard Trophy and a Scottish royal tartan jacket.

The Schwab Stingray features a custom LT1 horn and a one-off body from 1975. The County Corvette adds a modern GM LS3 V-8 motor that produces over 450 horsepower.

Equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission, this unique car also features Schwab badging on the trunk. The winner will receive a custom, personalized console and will feature Colonial’s signature tartan interior.

The tradition started five years ago, when Kevin Na won in 2019 and took home a 1973 Schwab Challenger. In 2021, the company presented winner Jason Kokrak with a 1946 Schwab Power Wagon. A 1979 Schwab Firebird was presented to 2022 winner Sam Burns.

Grillo, of course, won last year in a 1973 Schwab Bronco. The only time a vehicle wasn’t given away was in 2020, when Daniel Berger won.
