The NFL fined Nick Bosa $11,255 for wearing a MAGA hat on the field on October 27, according to multiple reports.

The rule states: “On game day, during any period in which a player is visible to the stadium or television audience, including during pregame warm-ups, during the game in the bench area, and during postgame interviews in the locker room or on the field; Players are prohibited from wearing, displaying, or otherwise communicating any personal message, written or illustrated, unless approved in advance by league officials.
“The league will not allow any club or player to provide any personal information to any club or player through helmet decals, armbands, jersey patches, mouthpieces, or other items associated with political activity or political activity affixed to game uniforms or equipment. Do not allow any message to be worn, displayed or otherwise communicated. Additionally, such approved items must be modest in size, non-commercial and non-controversial. Must be seasonal.

Asked about his decision to wear the pro-Trump hat, Bosa told reporters he “doesn't really talk about it,” saying only that it was a “pivotal time.”
But speaking to the media the day after the election, he had no regrets.
“It was worth it,” Botha said before being fined.
“I don't think my position on this issue will change. It's clear that the people have spoken,” Botha said. “You get what you get.”
Botha added that he stayed up Tuesday night to watch the election results.
“It was fun. We had a great time,” Bosa said with a smile.

Bosa has been a longtime supporter of Trump, even before he was in the NFL. In 2019, he deleted posts about Trump and criticism of Colin Kaepernick from his X account out of concern that he would not be fully accepted by the city of San Francisco if he was drafted by the 49ers. revealed.
