According to a new poll, the majority of voters are unhappy with the treatment of the Federal Workers' Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
When asked about “how Elon Musk and Doge deal with federal employed workers,” Quinnipiac University poll Registered voters said they were not supporting it. 36% said they support the way Musk and Kuji are dealing with federal workers.
Musk and Doji are trying to cut through the federal government, offering and laying off acquisitions for many workers. Many of their actions are now the subject of lawsuits.
A federal judge ruled Thursday that the Trump administration must revive probation officials who have been illegally fired in several agencies, including the Veterans Affairs, Agriculture, Defense, Energy, the Interior and Treasury.
Last week, the New York Times reported that Musk and Secretary of State Marco Rubio had clashed at a recent cabinet meeting, and that Musk had chased Rubio after failing to fire a large portion of the workforce at the State Department.
Transport Secretary Sean Duffy argued at the same Cabinet meeting that Doge staff tried to terminate air traffic controllers, according to The Times. Many notable plane crashes over the past few months have increased conversations among air traffic controllers about the importance of aviation safety.
A Quinnipiac poll found that 54% of respondents did not support Trump's handling of the economy, with 41% so far supporting the president's economic policy.
The Kinipiac vote took place between March 6th and 10th. It includes 1,198 registered voters, with an error of either positive or negative 2.8 percentage points.
