ABC News Report On Saturday, around 30 people gathered outside the Tesla dealer in Meridian, Idaho, to protest against the company's CEO Elon Musk and his role in cutting jobs in the Trump administration. The protest was overshadowed by about 200 opposition chiefs. According to the Meridian Police Department, when the 49-year-old protester arrived on the scene, Meridian Christopher Talbot, 70, allegedly made an indecent gesture towards him.
Police reported that the victim, who was driving a truck with Pro Trump flag on display, had just parked and left the car when Talbot attacked him. The rebel suffered a life-threatening injury and drove him to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The incident came amid a series of planned “Tesla Takedown” protests organized by anti-faith groups targeting Tesla dealers and facilities around the country. In recent weeks, Tesla has become the focus of vandalism and demonstrations due to Musk's prominent and controversial role in President Donald Trump's second administration.
Authorities used license plate information from Talbot's vehicle to find his subsequent arrested residence. According to the ADA County Sheriff's Office, Talbot was booked into the ADA County Jail and charged with one count of aggravated battery, a felony charge.
A police spokesman said, “The Meridian Police Department reminds people that it respects its right to protest without resorting to violence and to express its right to the First Amendment.”
Breitbart News recently reported on a case of a Tesla vandalism virus, representing the massive, escalating wave of violence against Tesla and Elon Musk and the domestic terrorism.
Demarqeyun Marquize Cox, 33, was taken into custody at the Texalcana Police Station after one of the alleged attacks was filmed on video by the very Tesla, which he intentionally crashed. The incident occurred when the electric car owner Virita Carstaffin was having lunch at a nearby restaurant.
Footage obtained by local news station KTBS shows the 5-foot-2, 449-pound Cox backs up the ATV and plunges straight into the side of Calstaphin's red Tesla, causing considerable damage to the front driver's side door. Warned against the attack by a phone notification, Calstaphin estimated that replacing the entire door would cost more than $1,000.
Police were called to the area after receiving reports of a second Tesla being damaged at a nearby Lowe store. Officers stopped Cox for more than a mile south of Golden Palace, and one police officer recognized him from the video of the buffet restaurant incident. During the initial questioning, Cox provided a false name and claimed that he was someone else, but police were not fooled by his cocky attitude and proceeded with his arrest.
