U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers and agents worked with Florida State Police to round up nearly 800 illegal aliens during this week’s four-day operation. The Roundup came as part of a crackdown on multi-agency immigration enforcement, an ICE official said.
Homeland Security’s Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Christie Noem said this is a warning to illegal criminals across the country. “We’re here for you,” Noem said in a social media post.
The Florida Highway Patrol Troopers have worked with the federal task force as part of the “Operation Tide Dal Wave,” ICE officials reported. The arrests of nearly 800 people took place during the first four days of target enforcement work. ICE officials call it the “first time” partnership between state and federal partners.
FL Governor Ron DeSantis Posted “Florida is actively working with the Trump administration to lead the country in its efforts to enforce immigration and deportation operations,” he said.
Fox News journalist Bill Melugin reported that the arrests included Colombian murders, members of the MS-13 and 18th Street gang, and Russian spies appointed by Interpol.
