Bernal Invokes Fifth Amendment Amid Questions on Biden’s Health

In Washington, Anthony Bernal, who some refer to as Jill Biden’s “work husband,” opted for the Fifth Amendment during his appearance before the Congressional Committee. The questioning centered around the cognitive decline of President Joe Biden.

Bernal, resembling the situation of Kevin O’Connor, who previously served as Biden’s private doctor, showed up for deposition but chose not to engage with the press afterward.

Representative James Comer (R-KY) mentioned he needed only to pose two questions to the President’s close associates. He inquired about the roles that unelected officials and family members play in the presidency. “I think Americans are concerned,” Comer noted, adding that many are apprehensive about the presence of individuals in the White House whom they do not know.

Rep. Byron Donald (R-Fla.) remarked that Bernal’s prompt exit links him to significant corruption issues. He stated, “If we can’t answer a simple question about Joe Biden’s capabilities, it further demonstrates that he is not in charge of his administration.” Donald expressed that if the President isn’t in command, then, in his view, all related orders and signed bills would be considered invalid.

Running for Florida governor next year, Donald suggested that Jill Biden should come forward to provide answers herself.

The oversight committee chair indicated that they would continue conducting transcribed interviews and depositions with key aides from the Biden administration to investigate any potential misuse of authority and the extent to which the President’s emotional decline might have been hidden.
