Conor McGregor has sparked controversy in response to rapper Azealia Banks, who has reportedly shared some explicit images of the Irish MMA fighter following her allegations of sexual harassment against him.
“Don’t let them distract me while they blindly take our country!” McGregor wrote on X, directly addressing Banks’ claims.
In some posts on X that were later removed, Banks shared screenshots of messages she claims are from McGregor. One of these messages featured a cryptic comment about “weights,” with imagery that seemed to imply something inappropriate.
Other messages included the phrase, “Don’t all mice become rats caught.”
In response, Banks posted on social media that she was going to “threaten” him, questioning his understanding of who she is, saying, “This is Haram.”
McGregor, a former champion in both welterweight and lightweight divisions, seems to be embroiled in various controversies at the moment. Last March, at 37, he announced his intention to run for the Irish presidency, focusing on anti-immigration themes, though it’s reported that he may not appear on the ballot for the upcoming election.
He was also involved in a sexual assault case in late 2024, which he is currently appealing. Over the weekend, McGregor was spotted in Florida with an unidentified woman, raising eyebrows.
Since suffering a leg injury in 2021, he hasn’t fought, but he has indicated interest in attending an upcoming UFC event at the White House scheduled for July 4, 2026, which will celebrate the 250th anniversary of Independence Day.
