Poll Reveals Voter Discontent with Trump’s Handling of Epstein Investigation
WASHINGTON – A recent poll indicates that a significant majority of voters are unhappy with how President Trump dealt with the investigation surrounding the federal lawsuit against notorious pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
According to a Quinnipiac University survey, about 63% of American voters disapproved of the Trump administration’s response to the Epstein investigations, who was known to have connections with the president back in the 1990s and early 2000s.
Only 17% expressed approval of the administration’s actions regarding Epstein, while 20% remained undecided.
The findings of a “systematic review” released last week stated that a young 66-year-old girl had committed suicide in a solitary confinement cell in a Manhattan prison on August 10, 2019, after being accused of numerous sexual offenses involving underage girls.
The two-page memo revealed—though it lacked a signature and did not feature any official FBI or Justice Department letterhead—that there was no credible evidence suggesting Epstein had made threats against any notable individuals during his time.
“We found no evidence warranting an investigation into any third party that was not already disclosed,” the memo stated.
As per the joint memo from the DOJ and FBI, Epstein has reportedly harmed over 1,000 victims. The connections he had with prominent figures, such as Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, former President Bill Clinton, and Prince Andrew, have spurred widespread online speculation since his death at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York almost six years ago.
The circumstances surrounding Epstein’s death included a security guard allegedly falling asleep and a malfunctioning camera outside his cell.
The recent findings also suggested that there was no “client list” linking Epstein to powerful individuals involved in his criminal activities.
Interestingly, both past attorneys and medical examiners have put forth theories questioning whether Epstein truly took his own life.
In terms of job performance ratings, the Quinnipiac poll revealed that 53% of voters approved of Bondi’s performance, while 32% expressed disapproval.
FBI Director Kash Patel had a favorability rating of 36%, but 47% were dissatisfied with his work.
Bongino’s numbers were slightly lower, with 41% approval, with the remaining 34% expressing discontent.
The DOJ had previously released flight logs and contact lists tied to Epstein before his second arrest in 2019, much of which was made public during Ghislaine Maxwell’s 2021 trial.
Epstein had previously avoided more severe charges in the mid-2000s due to a contentious plea deal arranged by then-Miami Attorney Alex Acosta. Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence for her role in Epstein’s activities.
Trump has reportedly distanced himself from a case involving a teenage daughter of an Epstein associate from Mar-a-Lago in 2007, while facing criticism from right-wing factions for supposedly mishandling the investigation into Epstein.
“I don’t really get why the whole Jeffrey Epstein situation is still of any interest,” he remarked to reporters near Air Force One. “It’s quite fascinating but honestly, a bit dull. I don’t understand the continued focus on it.”
He also indicated that he had pertinent information regarding the case, implying that the “client list” was already reviewed by high-ranking officials in the DOJ ahead of the memo’s release.
“I discussed this on Fox back in February, and it gained traction because I mentioned it during an interview,” Bondi noted during a cabinet meeting on July 8.
House Speaker Mike Johnson and other Republican officials emphasized that pursuing this issue could enhance transparency, potentially leading to Congressional subpoenas based on federal records, something Democrats have been advocating for through various committee votes.
In the same Quinnipiac survey, 40% of GOP voters were satisfied with Trump’s management of disclosures related to Epstein, while 36% disapproved, and 24% had no opinion.
Among Democrats, a staggering 83% disapproved of the president’s approach, with just 2% offering their approval.
Trump responded to these concerns by stating, “Unlike Republicans, Democrats stick together. Their latest narrative is about the so-called Jeffrey Epstein hoax, and that’s something my past supporters are buying into completely.”
In closing, Epstein’s former associate Alan Dershowitz claimed that the federal court was hindering the release of pertinent files, alleging there exist FBI affidavits regarding his own client connections that should be made public.
