Former CNN commentator discusses with Charlamagne about how Biden's cover-up is hurting Democrats in the election.

On Thursday, radio host Charlamagne clashed with Angela Rye, a former CNN commentator, discussing whether former President Joe Biden is experiencing dementia and if a potential cover-up related to his health affected his election outcome.

Charlamagne questioned Rye, asking, “Why now? Why do they suddenly seem brave enough to speak out?” He appeared skeptical about the timing of these revelations during “The Breakfast Club.”

Rye responded by challenging the gravity of his claims, saying, “I’m trying to understand why you think it’s ‘all suddenly.’”

Charlamagne, criticizing press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, expressed that people are generally uninterested in hearing from someone who has previously misled the public.

“It does seem abrupt, Angela Rye!” he shot back.

Rye noted that the discourse surrounding these issues isn’t new, suggesting that Tupper’s recent book is just the latest in a series of discussions.

However, Charlamagne insisted that the narrative about Biden’s health had significantly impacted the Democratic Party’s election results. “Why didn’t they inform the public earlier? Two years ago might have changed our situation,” he argued.

To this, Rye expressed skepticism about the motives behind past lies, saying, “Perhaps the lies were more appealing than the truth.” She pointed to Trump’s election as a consequence of this dishonesty.

Charlamagne then pressed, “So it wasn’t a lie about Joe Biden?”

The conversation took a personal turn when Rye shared that her grandmother had dementia, expressing offense at equating that condition with Biden. “He doesn’t have dementia yet,” she insisted.

Rye further defended Jean-Pierre, attributing unfair treatment in the White House to racial biases, stating, “Jake’s invited here, and the expectations are skewed.”

Charlamagne interrupted, suggesting that her role often required her to defend Biden unfairly.

Rye clarified that her comments were about the White House staff dynamics, not just Biden himself: “It’s frustrating to be challenged in your role when trying to advocate.”

Jean-Pierre has been a notable defender of Biden’s mental health since 2022. Recently, she revealed plans to leave the Democratic Party and released her book titled “Independentique: Seeing Inside the Broken White House Outside the Party Line.”

Rye is among several liberal figures promoting the narrative that Trump and GOP members might attempt to manipulate the upcoming elections.

A spokesperson for Biden did not respond to a request for comments.
