Sarah Haynes Criticizes Democratic Handling of Biden’s Health
On Friday, Sarah Haynes from “The View” took aim at Democrats for their management of former President Joe Biden’s health issues, claiming they’ve fostered “trust issues” with voters.
Haynes expressed skepticism about the value of the ceremonial hearings related to Biden’s administration, suggesting instead that a humorous alternative could be to “sue the fifth for fun,” referencing the autopen used during his tenure. She indicated that Democrats seem to overlook the significant concerns that voters have about trust and transparency.
She remarked, “The GOP is divided. They trusted the Trump administration regarding the Epstein Files. This trust hasn’t been translated into confidence in the current administration.” The conversation seems to imply that past actions are casting a long shadow over present perceptions.
Haynes acknowledged that while some may not trust the Trump administration on immigration, Democrats also have issues with credibility—especially concerning Biden’s health cover-ups.
Notably, she highlighted a recent turning point in the conversation about Biden’s health, spurred by the release of “original sin,” a book by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios’s Alex Thompson. This work scrutinizes the efforts of Biden’s aides to obscure the details surrounding his mental and physical well-being, portraying a president who at times appeared confused.
“When President Biden was trying to articulate his stance, many felt it was too personal, leading to a breakdown of trust,” she explained.
Haynes believes that Democrats would appear more trustworthy if they acknowledged concerns about Biden’s health instead of wave them off as inconsequential. “The challenge isn’t just Biden’s current state; it’s about addressing the past,” she said.
Alyssa Farah Griffin, also a co-host, pointed out the congressional responsibility to investigate Biden’s use of autopens further, adding another layer to the ongoing debate about transparency.
The discussion is representative of a broader concern over Biden’s mental fitness, which continues to be debated as his inauguration issues unfold.
