Donald Trump has now marked six months into his second term.
He took a moment to celebrate, stating that this period has been significant, particularly for all the positive developments, including the withdrawal from various conflicts that weren’t directly tied to the U.S. except through trade or, in some cases, friendship.
The first six months, according to Trump, have been a series of triumphs.
Six Months of Achievements
One major piece of legislation passed by Congress, which Trump hailed, represents the largest tax reduction in U.S. history. This law is expected to boost take-home pay for many Americans by as much as $13,300 and simultaneously cut benefits for approximately 1.4 million undocumented immigrants who exploit the system.
Additionally, Congress approved a noteworthy retirement plan championed by Trump. This plan aims to curb wasteful government spending on foreign aid issues and biased media funding.
In terms of consumer goods, the price of a dozen eggs has plummeted by 53%, translating to a decrease of $3.09 since the inauguration, and a staggering 62% or $5.08 since the peak in March.
The job market shows encouraging signs, with 671,000 jobs added since January 2025, exceeding expectations for the fourth month in a row. It’s also notable that all of the newly created jobs have gone to native-born workers, who saw a rise of 2,079,000 in job opportunities, whereas foreign-born employment saw a drop of 543,000.
Regarding border issues, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol recorded only 6,070 undocumented immigrants crossing the southern border in June.
Moreover, no undocumented immigrants were paroled into the United States in June, contrasting sharply with the 27,766 from a year ago.
The administration has ramped up deportations, breaking records for the month of June. Trump’s initiatives have resulted in about 1 million undocumented immigrants coming forward. Additionally, the administration has successfully barred over 600 known terrorists from entering the U.S.
On Trump’s directive, U.S. immigration and customs enforcement arrested over 100,000 undocumented criminal offenders, including more than 2,700 members of the notorious Tren de Aragua gang.
Under Trump’s declaration of an energy emergency, the percentage of new oil and gas drilling permits has soared, outpacing the previous administration by 44% in just one year.
Core inflation has been measured at a mere 2.1% since Trump’s return to office, a level last seen during his first term when prices were generally stable. Meanwhile, wholesale inflation remained steady in June, with import prices falling more significantly than anticipated.
Gas prices this summer have reached levels not seen since 2021 and are approaching the lowest rates in 20 years when adjusted for inflation.
Efforts to cut regulations have reportedly saved Americans around $180 billion, translating to over $2,100 per household, with expectations of over $1.1 trillion in savings from automotive regulation rollbacks alone.
Trump has also negotiated a landmark deal for NATO members to increase their defense spending to 5% of GDP. Under his leadership, the U.S. has effectively dismantled Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
Trump has brokered several ceasefires, including between India and Pakistan, and between Israel and Iran, as well as a peace arrangement between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, contributing to stabilizing Syria.
Due to these peace efforts, he has received three Nobel Peace Prize nominations since taking office.
In May, wage growth for blue-collar workers saw its most significant upswing in nearly 60 years since Trump’s inauguration, while over $7.6 trillion in investments have been pledged in the U.S. by businesses and foreign governments.
The U.S. Treasury has accrued around $90 billion in tariff liabilities since January 2025, yet reported a surplus of $27.2 billion in June.
Trump has continued to prove his leadership by signing contracts for minerals with Ukraine, a $14 billion sale of U.S. steel labeled as a “permanent golden share,” and trade agreements with the UK, China, and Indonesia.
He has issued over 170 executive orders that address key campaign pledges, including securing borders, protecting children, and promoting U.S. energy independence, while also pushing back against federal censorship and radical DEI programs.
The indexes for the S&P 500 and NASDAQ have reached historic highs during this period.
The Supreme Court has consistently favored Trump’s agenda, blocking activist judges from imposing national injunctions and enabling deportations to third countries, while also affirming efforts to streamline federal bureaucracy.
Trump has enacted several notable laws such as the Genius Act and the Stop Fentanyl Act.
Recruitment across all branches of the U.S. military recently met targets, which is a positive sign for national defense.
The administration has made strides toward improving public health, with about 35% of the food industry committing to eliminate artificial dyes, including major brands like Hershey, which covers a significant portion of the ice cream sold in the U.S.
Through his policies, Trump has assured the protection of benefits for American citizens and safeguarded over $40 billion in programs intended for them from being accessed by undocumented immigrants since implementing changes in February.
He facilitated a NATO agreement for substantial military support for Ukraine.
Trump has also dismantled numerous international cartels, classifying eight Latin American cartels as terrorist organizations.

Following this directive, many hospitals across the nation paused so-called “gender maintenance care” for minors.
In these initial six months, Trump has met with 23 foreign leaders. This includes multiple visits from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and discussions with the NATO Executive Director, contrasting sharply with fewer interactions noted during the previous administration.
