Charlie Kirk Explains to Tucker Carlson the Timeframe Trump Has to 'Overcome' 'The Deep State' Before It's Too Late

Kirk’s Call for Action Against Deep State

Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, spoke with Tucker Carlson recently about his belief that former President Donald Trump has “6-12 months” to dismantle what Kirk describes as the “administrative state and deep state.”

On Friday, Tulsi Gabbard, the former National Intelligence director, released a declassified report suggesting there is “overwhelming evidence” that the Obama administration manipulated intelligence related to the 2016 Russian conspiracy allegations. During his conversation with Carlson, Kirk commended Gabbard for unveiling these claims about the Russian collusion narrative.

“I think all these roads lead back to the intelligence community,” Kirk asserted. “This revelation about Russiagate is huge. I mean, it’s enormous. The President definitely cares about this; he’s put so much energy into defending against it. And, you know, it isn’t just about external adversaries like the Chinese Communist Party—it’s about our own government fabricating these narratives.” Kirk expressed that this is particularly troubling because, in his view, the government opposed an elected president. “So here we are now,” he added, “with Trump essentially back on the hunt for accountability.”

Back in 2016, Trump’s campaign was accused of colluding with Russia to influence the election. Though the Steele dossier was a key part of the investigation, no solid evidence was found to back up the conspiracy claims.

Since the allegations against Trump’s campaign surfaced, doubts among former officials about the motivations behind them have proliferated.

In a note from Gabbard, the memo revealed that the Obama era’s Director of National Intelligence and the Department of Homeland Security had published a press release from the FBI and NSA weeks prior to the 2016 election. The document also indicated that after the election, intelligence agencies were leaking “blatantly false intelligence” to media outlets.

“I know what the grassroots want,” Kirk said. “There’s a clear demand for accountability. The only way we can see that is by addressing the deep state in the next six to twelve months. This situation is spiraling out of control, and we need to confront it.”

“You can tell they’re scared of this movement,” he continued. “They understand that we know what’s going on, the patterns we see, and how powerful the intelligence agencies have become. It’s critical to hold them accountable for their actions, which have become increasingly dark.” Kirk added that it is vital to restore some semblance of balance.

Before Gabbard’s revelations, reports indicated that former FBI director James Comey and former CIA director John Brennan were under criminal investigation for potential misconduct related to the Steele documents. Sources shared that the scope of the investigation remains uncertain, but the FBI views the interactions within the agency as part of a “conspiracy.”
